History of Jorgie Bags
Tucked away in the scenic mountains of West Virginia,
USA, Jorgie Bags is owned and operated by 3Missies
Creations LLC. We specializes in beautiful handmade purses and
totes.
Joanne Patton is the current owner of Jorgie Bags and 3Missies Creations. Joanne and her husband (Marshall) are life long residents of West Virginia where they currently live with their four children (Logan, Lincoln, Landon, and Piper).
"Jorgie" was created early in the year 2005 when
two cousins, Debbie Tucker and Joann Maddox decided to make a purse
and it turned into a great seller. Debbie and Joann both live in
Scott Depot, WV with their families. They created the pattern that
is still in use for all Jorgie bags, making our bags unique to our
company. They always said the fun part was choosing your own fabric
and we continue to have that as a focus of our bags today.
The name "Jorgie" is on each and every bag we sell. So, where did the name come from? Debbie and Joann's grandmother's name was Jorgie so they chose it for obvious sentimental reasons. Also, Jorgie starts with Joann and ends with Debbie so it tied the business to the owners.
Debbie spent a lot of time sewing and assembling Jorgie purses while Joann was the sales force. Amazingly, they soon were selling many, many of their purses all over West Virginia and surrounding areas.
In a few short months, Debbie contacted a neighbor
and friend (Joanne Patton) to assist with assembling the purses.
After a few more months and with the business still growing, Debbie
and Joann offered to sell the business and the Jorgie name to their
new partner. Joanne decided to take them up on this exciting offer
and today we continue to grow the business and create the same quality
bags that Joann and Debbie started when they decided to make that
first purse.
Our extensive selection of fabrics along with the
durable construction makes Jorgie handmade purses a favorite with
our customers.
